Konjac Sponge with French Pink Clay

Used in Japanese culture for centuries Konjac sponges are now at the cutting-edge of Japanese beauty and skincare due to their unique exfoliant properties. The Konjac sponge gently massages and exfoliates the skin to stimulate blood flow and cell turnover, while lifting make-up and other pore blockers for healthier and brighter skin.

French Pink Clay helps with micro-circulation to give the skin a radiant complexion.

Made from the root of a Konjac plant these sponges are 100% natural, plant based and responsibly sourced in Asia. To minimise its impact this product comes packaging-free.

Note: Will last 4-6 weeks with care. Anyone with rosacea or perioral dermatitis should consult their dermatologist before use.

Pure Konjac vegetable fibre, ventilated french pink clay.

Soak the sponge for 5–10 minutes until it expands and fully softens, then squeeze out the excess water right before you use it.

Once your sponge is ready, add your face wash or cleanser over the sponge and gently massage your face in circular motions until your skin is clean and your makeup is removed.

For a more gentle exfoliant rub the sponge over your damp skin after cleansing to pick up excess skin cells.

After use, rinse out the sponge and leave it to air-dry overnight.

Hanna would watch the rubbish bins in her office fill up every day with paper cups and lunch bag wrappers as they all rushed blindly from meeting to meeting, completely unconscious to the amount of waste they were contributing to landfill daily. She thought there must be a better way to do this! But, as time-poor city dwellers with demanding jobs and equally as busy personal lives, living sustainably with the current options and information we have can seem very difficult. Acala is born out of Hanna’s desire to make being a conscious consumer simple and accessible to all. Acala makes buying consciously as easy and as accessible to all as popping into a high-street store.
