Jungle Folk was born during a trip through Colombia, inspired by beautiful landscapes and the people's knowhow of ancient techniques. In 2013, designer Pauline Treis started to develop the brand with a community of urban and rural artisans - predominantly women - enabling their sustainable development, improving their skills and helping them to support their families. The artisans and sewers employed by Jungle Folk are based in Medellin, Colombia who work in small workshops in the barrios of the city. In working with artisans directly Jungle Folk are seeing long lasting change by investing in people and creating social change through business, not aid.
