Flax and Loom is the new venture of long time sustainable fashion designer Phil Wildbore. He’s now striving to produce ‘the world’s most sustainable, commercial jean’. They have a huge focus on increasing the sustainability of their supply chain.
Flax and Loom have established a partnership with a cotton grower (in Turkey). After this they work with a local manufacturer who weave the fabric, make and dye the finished garment. Distribution is also centred in Turkey, which means they have an extremely low carbon footprint. They have plans to create an even more sustainable supply chain by achieving an organic crop rotation for hemp, flax and cotton in a symbiotic programme.
However their most sustainable attribute is that what they make is built to last.
