Huskup
Richard was initially inspired by his frustration with the alarming single-use disposable waste from the foodservice sector. As reusable drinks cups grew in popularity Richard noticed many of them were made using plastic. He believed that plastic should not be part of the solution and from that Huskup was born. Created entirely from rice husks that are a by-product of the rice industry which produces 125m tonnes of rice husks every year, most of which are incinerated, releasing carbon and sulphur dioxide to the atmosphere. Huskup wants to interrupt this and instead create functional and stylish reusable coffee cups that are entirely biodegradable, leaving a minimal footprint on the planet.
