Creating long lasting, seasonless pieces developed from the highest quality organic cotton, their unisex styles mean there’s something for everyone. Thanks to their uncomplicated but bold designs, the styles will likely never go out of fashion and therefore be pieces to be treasured for a long time ahead. Their standard is raising the bar for transparency, ethics and sustainability in fashion production.
They believe it shouldn’t be so difficult to make conscious choices in today’s world, so ensure their clothes are made by hardworking people who are treated as humans should be treated. They pay fair wages, work against discrimination and always ensure freely chosen employment.
Colourful Standard also have a huge focus on their environmental impact. They use 100% organic cotton grown without genetically modified seeds, and 100% merino wool reaching the Oeko-tex standard". These materials are then sent to a manufacturing center in Portugal, where they are transformed into beautiful designs using vibrant Oeko-tex certified dyes. Any fabric cut offs left over are recycled into furniture fillings.
They also donate part of their yearly proceeds to maintaining FC Masi Manimba, an all-purpose activity center which allows children in the Democratic Republic of Congo to be kids and play.
