  • Description
  • For every purchase of our Charitee, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to a chosen charity. Each colour t-shirt will support a different charity, doing amazing works to change lives, care for the environment or fight for human rights.

For our 100% GOTS certified organic cotton cobalt blue t-shirt, we have chosen the renowned Marine Conversation Society, who lead political, cultural and social change for healthy seas and coasts that support abundant marine wildlife, sustainable livelihoods and enjoyment for all.

An estimated 8 million tons of plastic enters our oceans every year. This is so shocking for us at Know The Origin that we want to support a charity that is making our seas are cleaner, protecting marine life and ensuring healthier seas.

The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife. For over thirty years MCS has been the voice for the sea for all the fascinating creatures that live beneath the waves, for our breath-taking coastal environment, for all those who make a sustainable living from the sea and for everyone who simply enjoys visiting the beach and our glorious coastline.

  • Production
  • These tees were made at Freeset Factory. Freeset exists for the many women who have never had the choice to be free. They care about the thousands in West Bengal, India who are vulnerable to sex trafficking. These women don’t get to choose their occupation, and they want to change that. They make bags, tees, and hand-woven fabrics, and love that they are part of India’s long tradition of cotton and jute production.

  • Materials
  • Freeset sources GOTS certified 100% organic cotton for its t-shirts. The cotton is also dyed using a 100% organic process.

Conventional cotton farming consumes massive quantities of toxic insecticides to control pests. These hazardous toxins pollute the environment and cause serious health problems for poorly protected Indian cotton farmers. By using natural pest control methods organic cotton farming removes the need for toxic chemicals.
